The Piano Museum
The combination of Holdre Castle and the Estonian National Piano Museum is unique in the Baltic and Nordic countries.
Holdre Castle is one of Estonia’s most remarkable examples of Art Nouveau and early 20th-century manor architecture. It was designed by the Baltic German architect Otto Wildau, one of the most highly regarded architects in Estonia and Livonia at the beginning of the 20th century. Together with its surrounding park and the scenic Õhne River flowing behind the castle, the estate forms a truly picturesque setting.
The Estonian National Piano Museum, located within Holdre Castle, is the only museum of its kind in Estonia. It showcases a unique collection of historic pianos and presents the history of piano music in the authentic surroundings of a historic manor house.
The museum offers exhibitions, guided tours, concerts, and venue hire for events. The founder of the Estonian National Piano Museum is the renowned Estonian composer Alo Põldmäe, who also leads popular musical tours by prior arrangement.
