A temporary exhibition “The Face of Bravery. The Undefeated Defenders of Azovstal”
The joint exhibition “The Face of Bravery. The Undefeated Defenders of Azovstal” by the Estonian War Museum, The Vabamu Museum of Occupations and Freedom, and the National Museum of the History of Ukraine tells the story of the men and women who, in the spring of 2022, were among the last defenders of Mariupol, trapped in the tightening siege by Russian forces.
The exhibition presents the story of heroes through personal belongings, partially previously unpublished documentary footage filmed during the siege of Azovstal, and Dmytro Kozatskyi’s world-renowned photographs. It is a painfully poetic reminder of the true cost of war and the urgent need to support Ukraine.
“The Face of Bravery” is based on the National Museum of the History of Ukraine’s exhibition “Azovstal. New Meanings” and has been created as a sign of deep respect and solidarity with Ukraine. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the National Museum of the History of Ukraine.
Come and witness the story that must never be forgotten.
The exhibition is open at the Krulli Quarter (Kopli 70a, Tallinn) until October 5, 2025.
