Rakvere Castle
A medieval adventure!
In Rakvere Castle you will find yourself in a theme park depicting life in a 16th-century fortress. Both children and adults can spend an exciting day here, transforming into knights and warriors, having fun, and learning about the life of people in medieval and early modern periods.
The fortress, located on the Rakvere Vallimägi, has several medieval rooms open to visitors: torture and death chambers, a barber’s shop and healer’s room, a brothel, and an alchemist’s workshop.
The Castle’s Schenkenberg Tavern offers food prepared according to medieval recipes
