Four new museums joined Museum Card!

Now you can visit four new museums with the Museum Card: Banned Books Museum, the Kolkja Museum of Old Believers, Pokuland, and the Ruhnu Museum.

The Banned Books Museum exhibits banned, censored, and burnt books worldwide. The books are displayed in sections according to countries/regions, and each book is accompanied by explanatory text providing a brief overview of the context of its banning.

Kolkja Museum of Old Believers tells the story of the Russian Old Believers along the shores of Lake Peipus. Questions are answered – why did they settle precisely on the shores of Lake Peipus, what are their customs, and why have they been growing onions in this particular way for centuries?

Pokuland is a theme park based on the main characters of the artist Edgar Valter’s book ‘Pokuraamat.’ The natural prototypes of the Pokus are boulders.

At the Ruhnu Museum, you can explore approximately three hundred tools and household items that once belonged to the people of Ruhnu, along with photos and texts about the island’s unique history and nature.
