Tartu Toy Museum

Time to play, both young and old!

The Tartu Toy Museum is located in the heart of the Tartu, near the University of Tartu and Toomemägi hill, in a beautiful old wooden buildings. Every adult can refind their childhood there, and every child gets an unforgettable experience. The playful displays feature dolls and dollhouses, stuffed animals and toy cars, rare puppets from Estonian animation films, souvenir dolls and uniquely artistic dolls, a working model railway, wind-up toys, and many others.

In a cozy playroom the whole family can craft, experiment, draw, dream, fold, paint, try on costumes, and, of course, play.

The Toy Museum has something for everyone – mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers, young children and older ones. Those who want to learn something new can participate in the tours and workshops of the museum. But if you just want to spend time with friends or family in a pleasant environment, there are plenty of opportunities to play in the museum.

There is a lot to do for families as well as kindergarten and school groups, and, of course, it is especially fun to visit the museum with your best friends. Everyone was a child once, which is an experience you revisit when walking around the toy museum!
