Now you can visit the Estonian Bicycle Museum, where you can explore over 160 bicycles spanning multiple centuries and learn about the history of bikes in Estonia.
Please note that the Bicycle Museum is only open during the summer!
This museum highlights bicycles manufactured in Estonia in the 1920s and 1930s when a significant domestic bicycle industry existed.
In addition to bicycles, visitors can also explore other small-scale technology from the “golden age of bicycles” in the 1920s and 1930s, such as gramophones, radios, telephones, typewriters, and more.
The Bicycle Museum is located in the historic Väätsa parish house, which was completed in 1893. It has been renovated and furnished in the style of the 1920s and 1930s. The museum building was reconstructed from a medieval roadside inn, constructed around the 15th or 16th century, which served as a central point in the Estonian road network at that time.
