Narva Art Residency
A villa full of Narva’s stories
The Narva Art Residency (NART) is a cultural platform founded in 2015, where residencies, exhibitions, lectures, and workshops are organized.
NART is located on the Estonian-Russian border in a historic villa, which was originally built for the director of the Kreenholm Textile Manufacturing Company and is considered the most beautiful building in the city of Narva.
NART invites you to tour the former villa to learn more about the history of this building. At different times, children’s clubs, a newspaper’s editorial office, a library, and several other organizations have operated in the villa. The visitors’ tour is based on historic materials and memories from the city’s residents.
In close proximity are the vacant factory buildings, which once formed the largest enterprise of its kind in Europe, the Kreenholm Manufactory.
