Kert Kask

Introduction

Kert is the CEO of the Estonian Museum Card and a former member of the steering group responsible for creating the Museum Card. He has previous experience working in the museum and communication sectors and has contributed to the communication efforts of a total of seven memory institutions. His most recent museum experience comes from the Tartu City History Museums, where he initiated a rebranding process and established an Instagram channel, @tartu_ajalugu, to showcase the collections. Kert firmly believes that museum collections are vibrant and represent the greatest value of each museum.

Within the Museum Card team, Kert’s primary roles include the daily management of the foundation, PR, accounting, and partner relations. Kert holds a master’s degree in journalism and communication from the University of Tartu.

Kert is also the founder of the popular Instagram account “Õigekirjagurmaan,” which promotes the Estonian language. He is a member of the Estonian Museum Association, as well as the Estonian National Committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) and the ICOM’s Marketing and Public Relations Internationa Committee (MPR).

His favorite museums in Estonia are Adamson-Eric Museum and the 19th Century Citizen’s Museum.
