{"id":9081,"date":"2023-01-27T08:03:04","date_gmt":"2023-01-27T06:03:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/muuseumikaart-ee.vserver.zonevs.eu\/museums\/juhan-liiv-museum\/"},"modified":"2024-05-03T13:58:57","modified_gmt":"2024-05-03T11:58:57","slug":"juhan-liiv-museum","status":"publish","type":"museums","link":"https:\/\/muuseumikaart.ee\/en\/museums\/juhan-liiv-museum\/","title":{"rendered":"The Juhan Liiv Museum"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-el\"><strong>The poet\u2019s homestead breaks myths<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">The Juhan Liiv Museum, located in the Peipsi\u00e4\u00e4re municipality of Tartu County, presents the life and work of one of Estonia\u2019s most beloved poets, Juhan Liiv, and the history of the surroundings of his homestead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">In the former home of the Liiv family, you can see the life of Estonian peasants at the turn of 19th and 20th centuries and experience the conditions in which the poet with a complicated fate spent his childhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">The museum\u2019s permanent exhibition \u201cIf I Were a Poet\u201d gives a thorough overview of the life and works of Juhan Liiv, studies the poet\u2019s role in the Estonian psyche and explores some of the myths related to him. Juhan Liiv&#8217;s works can be viewed through both audio and video media.
