His birthplace at Kalame farm in Karepa is open for the summer season and hosts a display of Sagrits\u2019s paintings and temporary art exhibitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">For centuries, the Kalame farm was the home of a fisherman of the Selja manor until, at the end of the 19<sup>th<\/sup> century, the father of the well-known marine artist Richard Sagrits became a tenant of the farm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">The Kalame farm, located on the banks of the river Selja, is an attraction itself. You can see a thatched house from the 19<sup>th<\/sup> century, which is typical to North Estonia\u2019s coast. The most unique building on the farm is the 19<sup>th<\/sup>-century lampern kitchen, which includes an oven used to cook lampern.
