With the help of photos and objects, a visitor can look back to when Haapsalu became a beloved resort town and a favorite place for many famous and less famous summer vacationers thanks to its medicinal mud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-el\">The L\u00e4\u00e4nemaa Museum was created in 1929 as a private initiative to collect and present the cultural heritage of L\u00e4\u00e4nemaa. The museum began operating in Haapsalu town hall in 1950.
